RC Pikeriver Raceway

2008, a year where RC Pike River has focused it’s energy in promoting our track in order to enhance the RC racing within the Nitro and Electric classes. Our main goal is to have fun and offer a unique competition grade track to our members and guests.

The track is ROAR approved and is one of a kinf in Canada. Our permanent track caters to 1/10th and 1/8th scale racing in Nitro and Electric classes. The track is located 45 minutes from Montreal, easy access via highway 10, then highway 35 towards St-Jean-sur-le-Richelieu, the route 133.  It is located at 530 route 133, St-Pierre-de-Véronne-de-PikeRiver, Quebec.

All services are offered : Racers stand that is elevated above ground, cantine, air compressor, toilettes, electricity, tables.  Nearby, there is a restaurant, camping, a motel.  Also within St-Jean-sur-le-Richelieu you will find well known hotels and restaurants.

The AMBrc lap counting system is used to manage the timing of transponder equipped vehicles. Each vehicle lap is precisely timed. A few rechargeable transponders are made available for those that do not have a permanent AMBrc transponder. The surrounding track area is plenty big to welcome 10x10 pit tents.

Our main objectives for 2008 is to increase membership and guests to our track for the following clientele: :
- beginners we welcome them and offer assistance and security at the track.
- existing regional , national and international racers;
- hosting of major events that are ROAR approved.

The RC Pike River committee is made up of existing racers and volunteers that are al well involded with the hobby and focus on managing a well structured based track and within a secure environment:

Michel Desjardins, owner of RC Pikeriver;

Jocelyn Piché, manager of all activities within RC Pike River;

Marielle Piché, manager of finance and admin;

Steve Killeen, webmaster and forum admin;

Pierre Barbeau, manager of the nitro racing. He is also organizing the Québec RC Nats 2008 that will be held august 8-9-10, 2008;

Steve Laliberté, manager of the electric racing. This new class is seeing a lot of interested amongst racers.

Also not to forget all other racers that pitch in to help make things work! With them the RC hobby is in good hands and continues to grow within the community.
